Oh I just love Sarah....and not just because I share her same awesome name! :) This girl has some serious beauty, brains and sweetness going on. A varsity cheerleader, student council president and math lover (to name just a few of her attributes), she has her head on straight. She is looking forward to studying business after graduating from high school, and I just have this feeling that she'll succeed at what she puts her mind to. I mean, it's totally worked already! :)

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Sarah! I was honored to have you in front of my cameras!

PS- I have an intern now!!! And not just any intern, an amazingly awesome intern! Cari will be joining me on many shoots this year and next, and she began her time with me for Sarah's shoot. Cari, I cannot WAIT to get to know you better!

Joe and Amber flawlessly planned their intimate wedding in just ONE week! Now THAT'S talent!

Joe & Amber attend the church my husband and I youth minister at, and we've known this couple, particularly Amber, for quite a while. Amber is spontaneous, full of life, passionate and unique. So really, it wasn't much of a surprise that Joe and Amber's wedding was so spontaneous!

This pair met a looooong time ago, back when they were 11 and neighbors (Joe admits he had a crush on her back then!). Life took them down different paths, but when they met this last year as adults they just KNEW their lives would never separate again. Soul mates, I guess this is called! :)

They boast a relationship centered around God and the strength He's given both of them through their lives. God has completely transformed both of these individuals in a crazy, powerful way. Wish I could share their whole story with you, but this blog would be like, 5 pages long!

Even though their day was accompanied by wind, rain and cold temps their day was perfect and gorgeously intimate. Enjoy a sample of portraits from their day!





That blanket? That blanket represents Amber's daddy who passed away 6 years ago from cancer. That was his blanket, that stuck with him through his struggle with the disease. :( He is sure missed by Amber and her family.

MiWomen {Lansing, MI Photography}

So what's MiWomen? MiWomen is a group of ladies in leadership from all over the state of Michigan. They are the Assemblies of God Michigan Women's Ministry team....and they are quite an awesome bunch of ladies! Led by the fabulous Liz (the wavy-haired petite beautiful blonde lady!) they work together to minister to women all over our state.

I cannot believe it's taken me this long to hang out in downtown Lansing. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful city! ...And not to mention, how gorgeous is our state capitol building? I'm really hoping this was not my last time shooting in this gorgeous location...i WILL be back! :)
