I'm very blessed to call Lois a friend...she's also a fellow photographer over at Sunshine Portrait Studio in Sheridan, MI. Her entire family is so stinking good looking, and equally super sweet! I loved hanging out with her kiddos on the steps of our state capitol building. They were so wonderful to photograph...so easy to photograph. Perhaps they're used to getting their portrait taken by their mama very often!!

Meghan & Lexi + Pups! {Davison, MI Photography}

Meghan and Lexi are the best of friends. The kind of friends who just look at each other and bust out laughing (oh, by the way, their laughs are IDENTICAL), share secrets with each other, love the same things, hate the same things & care about each other like the closest of sisters.

Recently they've adopted two wee little basset hound puppies who just happen to be sisters (insert 'awwwwwww' in a high pitched squealy voice here). Sophie and Vera are SO SO SO cute. Really, I wanted to smuggle them in my camera bag and take them home with me.

Very fun shoot with these ladies and their new 'babies'. Loved it! :)

Doug & Madelinne {Royal Oak, MI Photography}

Remember THIS wedding from last November? Yeah, that super fun couple just celebrated one year of wedded bliss!

Doug & Madelinne quickly became some of my favorite clients, and they definitely still are. Recently we headed down to Royal Oak to take some celebratory anniversary portraits. They wanted to capture that they are still enjoying cake together, still dancing together & still madly in love with each other a year later.

And that makes my heart happy.

...And I think that it's awesome that Madelinne wore her wedding shoes on this shoot (not to mention those AWESOME purple-that-blends-into-black tights)...and that they brought along their little toy dinosaur who was at their wedding & was included in their honeymoon pics. These guys are fun, what can I say??
